Our artist / designer Angela Blackman creates a variety of unique work from hand painted glassware to original artwork and photographic prints.
By her choice, each artwork is individually created by hand, nothing is mass produced. Glasses are âoriginal art on glassâ where each piece is unique with no 2 pieces exactly the same. Angela has also created a number of original artworks for display; including 3D layered artworks and framed art-prints. Each one is created individually, even background prints are printed individually before finishing by hand. Browse her collections for available designs.
Following her degree in Graphic Design (BA Hons) at Exeter College of Art & Design, Angela has enjoyed a long career in creating design led gift ranges for national retailers. Before going alone, she has held a variety of creative positions over the years in several established publishers including Product Development Director. Angela is always looking forward at trends, fashions and influences. In the past she would brief other designers and artists, but now likes to gather the information to be more hands-on and create her own designs. Through her commercial experience she has obtained her skills in âwhat the market requiresâ in a consumer sense, with an instinctive understanding of what customers enjoy, value and appreciate by utilising her Senior Design experience gained servicing blue chip retailers for many years.

âI love being hands-on creating original designs myself, exploring ideas and getting the paints out to create individual art, leaving behind many years of commercial production. Itâs such a thrill for me to sell my work on a one-off basis creating unique pieces to bring a little joy to someone with my own designsâ
Angela now lives in Yorkshire with her husband, occasionally taking part in art events (See highlight events on the Home page of her website) and otherwise enjoying the countryside, cycling, walking and exploring.
