“Alpine Swifts heading for Bamburgh” Artprint Created by Angela Blackman ©

“I love swifts and Northumberland, so I created this composition to celebrate both. I was inspired to create this artwork featuring Alpine Swifts on a backdrop of Bamburgh Castle; when researching locations for swifts and noted the Alpine Swifts (slightly larger than our common swifts) had been spotted early in the season in Northumberland. This was an unusual event and thought to be a potential result of changing weather patterns or climate change. It is hoped they will become a regular visitor or even breed in the UK in the future” AB

A unique artwork created using a digital paint box. Built up over time using many layers and referencing several images to create this final piece.

Mounts – bright white acid free board, bevel cut to create a white surround

A3 size images 11.7 x 16.5” (297 x 420mm) art & photos are mounted in 20 x 16” (508 x 406mm)

Art Prints – Each art print is digitally printed individually from my original artwork using Archival Professional watercolour paper. Printed using professional 10 piece set lightfast inks, although we do not recommend hanging the picture in direct sunlight for long periods.
